Case Studies in Behavioral Forensic Analysis is a companion (technical, practitioner) audiobook to Dr. Ruben’s earlier book Behavioral Forensics: Using Applied Behavior Analysis in Psychological Court Evaluations (2020). It liberally expands the campaign to transform traditional forensic psychological evaluations into behaviorally (evidence-based) psychological evaluations. Basic (experimental) and applied research serve the foundation in elucidating the opaque splatter of criminal actions into transparently coherent and molecular units of behaviors. These units of criminal behavior all seamlessly connect along a continuum of space and time - or in a progression along behavioral segments. Four comprehensive sections divide into three sections:Qualification for Social Security Disability InsuranceEvaluations of Parental Competency for Children’s Protective ServicesEvaluation for Probation/ParoleCase studies provides a further blueprint for the interdisciplinary cadre of forensic professionals conducting court evaluations. ungekürzt. Ascend is an innovative book embedded with powerful tools for leaders, and offers an engaging way to share the path toward personal transformation with everyone. It presents a captivating allegory that helps leaders identify and break through long-standing beliefs that limit access to their innate potential for human happiness and exponential business success. Through the experiences of the characters in Ascend, listeners see how their own limiting beliefs and mental models tacitly impede their quest for personal mastery and accomplishment, both personally and professionally. As the characters take important steps to discover and liberate their truer selves, listeners face the same key decision: Am I willing to engage in a life-altering journey to grow cognitively, behaviorally, emotionally, and spiritually? The answer promises to be transformational and profound. ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: James Silvera. Audio sample: https://samples.audible.de/bk/acx0/080635/bk_acx0_080635_sample.mp3. Three Essays on the Theory of Sexuality by Sigmund FreudThree Essays on the Theory of Sexuality (German: Drei Abhandlungen zur Sexualtheorie), sometimes titled Three Contributions to the Theory of Sex, is a 1905 work by Sigmund Freud, the founder of psychoanalysis, in which the author advances his theory of sexuality, in particular its relation to childhood.Freud's book covered three main areas: sexual perversions childhood sexuality and puberty. The Sexual AberrationsFreud began his first essay, on "The Sexual Aberrations", by distinguishing between the sexual object and the sexual aim - noting that deviations from the norm could occur with respect to both. The sexual object is therein defined as a desired object, and the sexual aim as what acts are desired with said object.Discussing the choice of children and animals as sex objects - pedophilia and bestiality - he notes that most people would prefer to limit these perversions to the insane "on aesthetic grounds" but that they exist in normal people also. He also explores deviations of sexual aims, as in the tendency to linger over preparatory sexual aspects such as looking and touching.Turning to neurotics, Freud emphasised that "in them tendencies to every kind of perversion can be shown to exist as unconscious forces...neurosis is, as it were, the negative of perversion". Freud also makes the point that people who are behaviorally abnormal are always sexually abnormal in his experience but that many people who are normal behaviorally otherwise are sexually abnormal also.Freud concluded that "a disposition to perversions is an original and universal disposition of the human sexual instinct and that...this postulated constitution, containing the germs of all the perversions, will only be demonstrable in children".Infantile SexualityHis second essay, on "Infantile Sexuality", argues that children have sexual urges, from which adult sexuality only gradually emerges via psychosexual development.Looking at children, Freud identified many forms of infantile sexual emotions, including thumb sucking, autoeroticism, and sibling rivalry. The Transformations of PubertyIn his third essay, "The Transformations of Puberty" Freud formalised the distinction between the 'fore-pleasures' of infantile sexuality and the 'end-pleasure' of sexual intercourse. He also demonstrated how the adolescent years consolidate sexual identity under the dominance of the genitals.

Exploring the differences between temperamental traits and psychological disorders. What is the difference between a child who is temperamentally sad and one who has depression? Can a kid be angry by temperament without being mentally ill? How can two thrill-seeking parents end up with a shy, risk-averse child? The subject of personality and how we differ from one another behaviorally has long fascinated parents, teachers, and scientists, but because no true "pathology” was involved, it was traditionally the arena of psychologists and behavioral scientists. Today, the question of temperament—and how it contributes to the development of psychiatric disorders—is one posed by mainstream psychiatry as a major area of investigation. From depression to ADHD to autism, temperament can play a definite role, but how, and to what degree? In this book, David Rettew examines the research and discusses the factors that can propel children with particular temperamental tendencies toward or away from more problematic trajectories.
