  Mit dem vierten Album Pieces of Soul kehrt die gerade einmal 29 Jahre alte französische Gitarristin und Sängerin Nina Attalzu den Blues-, Rock- und R?n?B-Wurzeln ihrer Jugend zurück. Als sie zwölf war, bekam sie von ihrem Vater eine E-Gitarregeschenkt, auf der sie, sozialisiert durch die von Rockalben geprägte Plattensammlung ihrer Eltern zunächst Riffs vonJimmy Page und Angus Young erlernte. Schnell fand sie aber auf der Suche nach den Wurzeln des Rock zum Blues unddamit der Musik von Robert Johnson, Big Bill Broonzy, Stevie Ray Vaughan und Rory Gallagher.Schon drei Jahre später nahm Nina an Jam Sessions im Pariser Club Caveau des Oubliettes teil, wodurch ihr Repertoireimmer weiter anwuchs, ob mit Coverversionen von Bernard Allison- und Johnny ?Guitar? Watson-Songs oder Eigenkompositionen. 2009 gewann sie beim renommierten Blues Sur Seine Festival gleich fünf Preise, da hatte sie noch nicht einmalihren Schulabschluss gemacht.2010 veröffentlichte sie ihre in Eigenregie produzierte Debüt-EP ?Urgency?, auf der nicht nur ihre Qualitäten als Gitarristin,sondern auch ihre soulige und funkige, von Künstlern wie Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson und Prince beeinflusste Stimmezu hören waren. Fernsehauftritte wie in der bekanntenfranzösischen Sendung ?Taratata? schlossen sich an.Beim Montreux Jazz Festival 2012 holte sie Marc Cerrone vor einem erlesenen Publikum auf die Bühne, in dem u.a. QuincyJones, Mark Ronson und Nile Rodgers saßen und sie trat als Special Guest bei einem Chic-Konzert auf. Dabei beeindruckteNina den Chic-Bassisten Jerry Barnes so sehr, dass er ihr nächstes Album Wha im Avatar Studio in New York produzierenwollte. Das nach einem Café in Greenwich Village benannte Album konzentrierte sich mit seiner fantastischen Rhythmusgruppe inkl. Es folgten Support-Tourneen für Jamie Callum, Robben Ford undeinige mehr.Als nächstes veröffentlichte Nina eine EP namens ?Verso? mit persönlichen, in französischer Sprache gehaltenen Textenund 2018 das Album Jump, bei dem sich der Einfluss von Bruno Mars und Justin Timberlake auf die Musikerin bemerkbarmachte. Für Nina bedeutete es einen großen musikalischen Sprung; kurz nach der Veröffentlichung ergab sich durch dasEnde ihrer Beziehung auch in ihrem Privatleben ein ähnlich großer Sprung.
