(musikreviews.de)Formed in Modena in Italy the band started to write songs and perform live locally. After the first demo was released some line-up changes took place, which leads us to the current line-up. They recorded their debut album Enlighten and changed their name to Sleeping Romance, and after that a deal was inked with the Swedish label Ulterium Records and the debut album Enlighten was released. Fronted by the emotional vocals of Federica Lanna and the epic songwriting from guitar player Federico Truzzi, Sleeping Romance creates something really exciting together that should appeal to fans in the scene. Since the release of the album late 2013 Sleeping Romance have toured quite extensively in Europe. Late 2013 they supported Theocracy on their European tour and in March 2015 they did their first headliner tour on their own. On top of this they have performed at festivals and single shows around in Europe, for example at Christmas Rock Night, Blast of Eternity and Freakstock in Germany. TRACKS: 1. Hybrid Overture 2. Enlighten 3. The Promise Inside 4. Soul Reborn 5. Free Me 6. December Flower 7. Finding My Way 8. Passion Lost 9. Devil's Cave 10. Aeternum

(stormbringer.at)From the coast of British Columbia, Canada, auburn-haired symphonic metal artist LEAH is drawing attention from all over the globe. Inspired by Celtic and world music influences such as Clannad and Loreena McKennitt to European symphonic and progressive metal influences, LEAH creates something magical and refreshing. International fans call her The Metal-Enya. Kings & Queens, the new album from LEAH is sure to be loved by fans of symphonic metal and female fronted rock. This album is diverse, powerful, and beautiful and often dances on the edge of progressive. Most of all it's hard not to be drawn into and enchanted by LEAH's diverse vocals. Featuring musicians such as Timo Somers and Sander Zoer of Delain, and Barend Courbois of Blind Guardian and Vengeance, this 14-track masterpiece emerges as the heaviest of all her releases. Dabbling in worldly Celtic, middle eastern, and New-Age flavors, while lyrically laced with epic imagery of dystopias, fallen empires, spiritual warfare, love and destiny, this album proves to be very promising and is expected to be received by fans and critics as one of the top symphonic metal albums of the year. TRACKS: 1. Arcadia 2. Save the World 3. Angel Fell 4. Enter the Highlands 5. In the Palm of Your Hands 6. Alpha et Omega 7. Heart of Poison 8. Hourglass 9. Palace of Dreams 10. This Present Darkness 11. The Crown 12. Remnant 13. There Is No Farewell 14. Siúil a Rún (Acoustic Version)

The Adventures Of Mimi verantwortlich. Make You a Believer 2. If You're Gonna Love Me 3. You Don't Have to Remind Me 4. Who Do You Think You Are 5. Windin' Me Up 6. I Want to Believe 7. Goin' Back Again 8. Do What Ya Want 9. Cry Baby 10. Where There's a Will 11. Time Flies

Midnight Eternal: Female fronted Symphonic Metal aus New York City.

Metalite! Soul singer and songwriter, born 2 April 1942 in Memphis, Tennessee. Brother of James Bryant. Don Bryant has been married to Ann Peebles since 1974. Age. Some things do get better with age. Like the slow grind. Kids are always in a hurry-not enough time in the day, not enough minutes in the hour, too many things to do and places to be. Age makes us appreciate the depth in experiences, the range of senses in a single moment, a single touch. Instead of trying to fill 60 different seconds, age opens up the fullness of a single minute. Less becomes so much more. Oh, the slow grind. Don Bryant gets inside it, slows it further, fills every little crevice with sensuous feeling, with yearning, with pain and love. You know that old song that O. V. Wright did so well in 1971 that no one can ever do the song again (as much as everyone tries)-"Nickel and a Nail"? O. V. Wright has held tight to that song and rightfully so. But not no mo. Don has slowed it, made it a richer and deeper experience. Not to take anything from O.V.-he made it possible for others to try, for Don to succeed. But O. V., after nearly half a century, now you gotta step aside. Don Bryant is here. Though it ain't like he just showed up. The roots of this record are in the Memphis church. That's where Don Bryant began singing when he was 5. He joined his father's family vocal group, then formed a gospel quartet for a high school radio gig. Broadcasting broadened the audience and they went secular, singing pop at WLOK on Dick "Cane" Cole's popular show. Kids walking to school every morning listened to Don and the Four Canes. After parting with the DJ, they took a very real step toward careers when, as the Four Kings, they began fronting Willie Mitchell's band. Willie Mitchell led the swingingest, groovin'est band in the Memphis-Mississippi-Arkansas area-the American music floodplain. (He would later discover Al Green and make him-and keep him-a star.) Willie's band was known for instrumental records, but when they'd play at Danny's in West Memphis. Don's group fronted them, the voices that pulled dancers onto the floor. But the group broke up, as groups will do, and Willie, who was touring concert venues and dance halls, needed a vocalist who could play with his supple, slinky funky beats. The Four Kings were deposed, but Willie anointed Don Bryant. Don could stand in front of Willie's orchestra and lead.

Time was when a jazz trio without a piano or guitar was a rare occurrence. But once Sonny Rollins went chordless at the Vanguard the die was cast and, though the instrumentation is still not exactly thick on the ground, it is an important subset in the list of saxophone-fronted jazz groups. For the last three years tenor saxophonist Nicole Glover has embraced this format with her regular band featuring colleagues Daniel Duke (bass) and Nic Cacioppo (drums). Here, for her first album

Straight out of the kitchen, Making Dinner is an all-female San Francisco favorite that has been labeled indie, folk, and pop. Making Dinner takes over the stage the way the smell of cookies baking takes over a kitchen. "It was like all of the ingredients finally stirred themselves together, and, well, dinner was served!" Eva Jo reminisces. Eva Jo Meyers recorded her first full length album in 2001 in Thailand, with Bangkok-based indie punk rockers, Sepia. Making Dinner is the fourth band she's fronted. 'I've been writing songs, literally, since I was six years old, and have been in one band or another since the 7th grade'. Meyers, who writes all the band's songs, says 'We've had some incredible shows. 12 Galaxies was a fantastic start, we brought down the house and it just keeps getting better. We've got a set list of catchy songs, but what really counts is that we have this great chemistry. Our goal is to have fun, and it's contagious. Plus, Dave Morey from KFOG said we're 'not bad!'' The singer/songwriter had known cellist, Marianka Madey, since the two were in kindergarten. 'If you had told Marianka, at the age of six, that someday she'd play in a band, she would have run away shrieking. This was a girl that was the first cellist in the Empire State Youth Orchestra. She barely even knew who the Beatles were.' But play in a band she does. Katie Pilat, the band's bassist, came by way of a new year's resolution. 'I got the bass as a birthday present years ago, and then got a new job two days later and the bass ended up under the bed,' Katie recalls. 'But last year I decided it was time to play, so my resolution was to call up Eva Jo to see if she wanted to jam.' Katie and Eva Jo had met playing frisbee in Golden Gate Park. 'The first night as I arrived at Katie's I was feeling exhausted from the day, but the session was so great, I left exhilarated,' Eva admits. 'Katie has this amazing talent, she's the effervescence in a song. She makes things float'. Both Devorah Rosner (back-up vocals and persussion) and Marianka had already been playing out with Eva Jo, and were both working on her new album at Goldfinger Studios in Novato, CA. 'After we had the four of us, the only thing missing was the beat. We had a show coming up at 12 Galaxies in a few weeks, so I called up a former coworker and told her to get her drum kit out of storage. Zarah Gamaldi was on board, and we had a band! Devorah has this voice like melted butter and has been on stage her whole life, so when I told her we were ready to play, we were all pretty excited.' Katie Crouch, the newest member of Making Dinner, joined the band in July 2008 when her friend and former Making Dinner violinist Genevieve Coyle left the band to go back to school. 100% classically trained, Katie C. is plugged in for the first time and enjoying the freedom of making up her own music. 'I was excited to try a new type of violin playing,' she gushes, 'and at the first rehearsal, I felt like everything clicked.' Katie C. loves the stage and also performs locally with Symphony Parnassus.

Family Man is the culmination of more than forty years of study and planning, and almost three years of nurturing the process of birth. Of course, the process was Skipper's actual life. He was destined to make this album. As a teenager, Skipper would be late for school because he had to listen again, to a new R&B tune he had recently purchased. He fronted a band called 'The Fascinations' that played the local teen scenes during the early years, replicating the styles of James Brown, Tommy Hunt, Jackie Wilson, Jerry Butler and various other artists of the period. Garnering acceptance and popularity while honing his craft, he graduated to a vocal group called 'The Avalons'. This group based on the style of The Platters, was like going from high school to college. Here he practiced harmonies, choreography and, because of the multiple lead vocals, he acquired the eclectic depth of styles he now possesses. Skipper then went on to join 'The Platters', touring the world replicating the magic that the original Platters was famous for and absorbing other styles to create his own. All of this life experience is what can be found in every track of Family Man. The artistry of the lead vocals, Skipper's life experiences in the collaborations of the original selections and his heartfelt emotions in 'At This Moment' and 'When Something's wrong with My Baby'. Those that have been privileged to listen to this compilation in it's early stages have commented: It is obvious that Skipper has spent a long time honing his craft, An interesting mix of songs, with a really fresh approach, I really like the 'real' feeling. Not engineered to death, It is like being at a live concert in a really great room. Beautiful. Family Man will take you through an emotional journey. It will cause you to reflect on your life and relationships. It will ask you to consider the state of our world ecology and it will command you to boogie in your seat. We hope you enjoy listening to this album as much as we enjoyed creating it.

B-Theory is a female fronted pop/rock band comprised of 4 awesome NYC musicians. Most clearly defined by great songs with catchy hooks, these seasoned players are aiming for a new standard in indie music with their soul-infused pop/rock sound and atypical lyrics. Some of their combined influences are Ben Folds, Aimee Mann, They Might Be Giants, Ben Kweller and Juliana Hatfield, but the sound they create is a unique mix of rich melodies, vintage textures and unexpected arrangements. Beth Waller covers vocals, electric piano and synths, Paul Stickney grooves on bass, Devon McCarthy wields electric guitars and John Rubin drums like no other! After years of playing in different bands, this group has finally found the right mix of songs and inspiration-and each other! Each song on their new record-Before and After, All at Once is stylistically a departure from the next, but the glue definitely rests in the musicality. With the unmistakable intent to rouse and stir, these songs help you hang on to any notions you may have of rejecting the status quo and grabbing onto something new. You have our blessing.
