Kultwein aus dem Priorat, der zu 100% aus Cariñena vinifiziert wurde. Mit natürlichen Hefen vergoren und über 2 Jahre in gebrauchten 3500-Liter Eichenfudern aus österreichischer Eiche reifte. Robert Parker’s Wine Advocat schreibt über diesen Wein: "Pure Cariñena from a 60-year-old vineyard in the village of Torroja del Priorat, the 2017 Dits del Terra still saw 70% of its volume matured in oak foudre, a percentage that is going to be diminished in future vintages until the wine ages exclusively in concrete. This is also a lot more developed and riper than the 2018, the same as I found in the Arbossar. This has lots of spices (even a touch of curry) and some tertiary aromas coming through. The palate reveals some earthy rusticity, dusty tannins and less depth of flavors than in 2018. 3,300 bottles produced. It was bottled in October 2019."" (Luis Gutiérrez, Dez. 2020)"

The Roc de Combes has a gorgeous plum, baked cherry and mulberry scented bouquet with fine definition and sense of mineralité, quite Pomerol-like. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tensile tannins, great precision and focus here, fresh and lively towards the precise finish. Wonderful finesse and composure here...this is destined to be a great Roc de Combes. Tasted April 2011. Jancis Robinson : 17.5/20 70% Merlot, 5% Malbec, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Picked 15 Oct. Exceptionally dark crimson. Very sweet and rich and tense. One of the tensest wines I have come across - real tension on top of great ripe fruit rather than overworked ’taut’ wines. Really very impressive. Much more structure than most Tertre vintages. Very small grapes and rich and very exciting. Not at all porty but very sweet and fresh. Holds its alcohol well. Very fresh. Really very unusual ! Spicy and rich but not at all heavy. Smoothed tannins - thanks to all that new oak ? Though very fresh and not that long on the finish.

Der 2014er Jahrgang wurde vom Robert Parker Wine Advocate mit 98 Punkten bedacht: "The 2014 Les Manyes was bottled a little earlier, in June 2016. In many wineries in Priorat, 2013 is clearly better than 2014, but it's not that clear in the case here, and you have to take it wine by wine. In the case of this Les Manyes, I think 2014 was the big surprise, with a combination of depth, perfume, subtleness and power difficult to achieve. The clay and chalky soils provide for an extraordinary texture of tannins, a lot less coarse than those from slate soils. It distills all the Mediterranean herbs and flowers, the essence of ripe red cherries and wild strawberries with some chalky minerality in a nose and palate that is close to perfection. This is a tour de force Garnacha from... chalky soils in Priorat! There are 1,008 bottles produced."" (Luis Gutiérrez, Okt. 2016)"

After Treachery in Bordeaux, and Grand Cru Heist, our Winemaker Detective leaves his native Bordeaux to go to Burgundy for a dream wine tasting trip to France's other key wine-making region. Between Beaune, Dijon and Nuits-Saint-Georges, it turns into a troubling nightmare when he stumbles upon a mystery revolving around messages from another era. What do they mean? What dark secrets from the deep past are haunting the Clos de Vougeot? Does blood need to be shed to sharpen people's memory? Jean-Pierre Alaux and Noël Balen, wine lover and music lover respectively, came up with the idea for the Winemaker Detective series while sharing a meal, with a bottle of Château Gaudou 1996, a red wine from Cahors with smooth tannins and a balanced nose. ungekürzt. Wine Spectator: 93-96/100 Punkte  »This has the ripe, intense, racy feel of the vintage, with cassis, plum and blueberry compote flavors, carried by a long graphite spine. A textbook 2018 and a textbook St.-Julien.« James Suckling: 93-94/100 Punkte  »There’s real freshness to the crushed-raspberry and blueberry character of this young red. Medium-to full-bodied and zingy with energetic tannins. Crisp finish. Lovely purity of fruit to this.« Decanter: 93/100 Punkte »The gap has been closing recently between Langoa and Léoville Barton, but Langoa is not quite keeping up in this vintage. There's no question that here is a firm, structured, complex and concentrated wine with an effortless St-Julien signature, but the tannins are a touch more foursquare on the finish, not quite as supple and full of life as in 2016. Still, it will be ready to drink sooner and offers tons of pleasure in the glass, so I'm not complaining. 60% new oak. Drinking Window 2026 - 2038« Falstaff: 93/100 Punkte »Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Zart nach frischen Orangenzesten, dunkle Beerenfrucht, Brombeeren, ein Hauch von Limettenzesten unterlegt. Mittlere Komplexität, schwarze Beerenfrucht, gut integrierte Tannine, mineralisch, verfügt über Länge und Süße im Abgang, gutes Entwicklungspotenzial.«  Robert Parkers Wine Advocate: 92-94/100 Punkte »The deep garnet-purple colored 2018 Langoa Barton is slightly shy at this nascent stage, revealing wonderfully pure, warm red and black currant scents with nuances of blueberry preserves, chocolate mint, smoked meat and a waft of bouquet garni. Full-bodied, rich and sporting a lot of vibrant, juicy fruit in the mouth, it has firm, rounded tannins and a lively backbone lifting the fruit to a good, long finish.« Wine Enthusiast: 92-94/100 Punkte »Barrel Sample. This wine has generous tannins that are matched by a blackberry flavor. It has the structure and concentration that will allow the wine to age.« Bitte beachten Sie die Sonderbedingungen der Subskription in unseren AGB.

James Suckling: 93-94/100 Punkte »This is tight and chewy with a solid core of ripe tannins and pretty blackberry character. Cool and stony undertones to the ripe fruit. Rigid backbone gives it form and verve.« Bitte beachten Sie die Sonderbedingungen der Subskription in unseren AGB.

Decanter: 93/100 Punkte »A fifth-growth that offers some of the best value in the entire red 1855 classification. It has violet edging and clear ripeness to the fruit, with rosemary and dried herbs through the mid-palate. The tannins have grip and are not planning on going anywhere. It's a step up in ageability, and a corresponding step down in ease of tasting right now. Drinking Window 2026 - 2040«  Falstaff: 92/100 Punkte »Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Süße dunkle Waldbeernote, frische Herzkirschen, zarte Gewürznuancen, frische Orangenzesten. Mittlerer Körper, rote Kirschen, integrierte Tannine, elegant und mineralisch, ein facettenreicher Speisenbegleiter.«  James Suckling: 91-92/100 Punkte »Blueberries with hints of hazelnuts and chocolate on the nose and palate. Full body. Velvety tannins.
